- NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on June 01, 2010, the Florida Department of Health, Division of Emergency Medical Operations, Bureau of Emergency Medical Services, received a petition for variance of paragraph 64J-1.0201(3)(a), Florida Administrative Code, from Manatee Technical Institute.
Nature of Rule: Sets forth the minimum qualifications for Program Directors at Florida-approved EMS Training Programs. To be eligible for approval as an EMS Training Program, applicants must provide documentation that each instructor has met the standards for their position as listed in the schools Application for Approval of an Emergency Medical Services Training Program, DH Form 1698, December 2008.
The petitioner is requesting a temporary variance of the above-described rule until September 30, 2010 for any newly hired instructors to meet the Instructor Core Curriculum or exemption requirements.
All comments regarding this petition must be received in writing by July 2, 2010.
