  • FWCJUA RFP For Banking Services

    Notice of RFP for Banking Services

    The FWCJUA is issuing an RFP for its primary banking services for a five year period beginning October 1, 2010 and ending September 30, 2015. Financial institutions interested in responding must meet the following qualifications: (1) institution must hold a charter from either the United States Government or the State of Florida; (2) institution must have deposit insurance under the provision of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act, as amended, 12 U.S.C. ss. 1811 et seq.; (3) institution must be a member of (or have access to) the Federal Reserve System and have access to all Federal Reserve System services; (4) institution must be a State of Florida qualified depository for public funds and must be in compliance with the Florida Public Deposits Program (Chapter 280, Florida Statutes); (5) institution must be in compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and ordinances of Sarasota County, the State of Florida, and the United States.

    The FWCJUA is a single-line insurer underwriting workers compensation and employers liability coverage in Florida since January 1, 1994. The FWCJUA is not a state agency. Accordingly, the RFP process is not governed by the contracting procedures applicable to state agencies set forth in Florida Statutes and rules. Any entity which responds to the RFP must expressly acknowledge in its response its understanding that the contracting procedure requirements which apply to state agencies do not apply to the FWCJUA.
