Board of Accountancy

The Board of Accountancy hereby gives notice: that on June 12, 2019, an Order was filed on the Petition for Variance or Wavier. The Petition was filed by Trecia Cleopatra Myrie-Reid, on April 16, 2019, seeking a variance or waiver of paragraph 61H1-27.002(3)(c), F.A.C., with regards to the educational course requirements for business law, taxation, and finance and accounting. The Notice of Petition for Variance or Wavier was published in Vol. 45, No. 81, on April 25, 2019, in the Florida Administrative Register. The Board, at its meeting held on May 17, 2019, voted to grant the Petition for Variance or Waiver finding that Petitioner demonstrated a substantial hardship; that application of the rule would violate the principle of fairness; and that the purpose of the underlying statute has been met.
