Board of MedicineNotice is hereby given that the Board of Medicine has received a Petition for Declaratory Statement filed on behalf of Richard A. de la Cruz, M.D., Diana C. Maccario, M.D. and J. Michael Benfield, M.D, on June 17, 2014.
The Petitioners seeks the Board’s interpretation of Section 456.44, F.S., with regard to the prescribing of controlled substances to homebound and home limited patients by nurse practitioners as outlined in the Petition. The Board will consider this petition at its meeting currently scheduled for August 1, 2014. Except for good cause shown, motions for leave to intervene must be filed within 21 days after publication of this notice.
