NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on June 16, 2016, the Department of Health (Department) has issued an order disposing of the petition for declaratory statement filed by Milind V. Tilak, M.D., of Doctors Inlet Pediatrics and Primary Care Clinic on March 10, 2016. The following is a summary of the agency’s disposition of the petition:
The Notice of Petition for Declaratory Statement was published March 22, 2016, in Vol. 42, No. 56 of the Florida Administrative Register. The Petition asks whether certification from the American Board of Interventional Pain Physicians (ABIPP) would exempt Petitioner from the statutory requirement to register a pain-management clinic with the Department. The Petition was answered in the negative. ABIPP is not a board approved by the American Board of Medical Specialties, the American Association of Physician Specialists, or the American Osteopathic Association as required by the applicable statute.
