NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Florida Department of Corrections has received the petition for declaratory statement from inmate Melvin Perez, DC# X11781.The petition seeks the agency's opinion as to the applicability of paragraphs 944.01(1)(m) and 946.002(2)(a), Florida Statutes as it applies to the petitioner.

The petition seeks to resolve a controversy or answer questions or doubts regarding the interpretation and application of the above-referenced statutes as they relate to the Petitioner’s allegation that he is not paid for his work as a houseman.
