Electrical Contractors’ Licensing Board
RULE NO.:RULE TITLE:
61G6-6.017Duration of Examination Scores
The Electrical Contractors’ Licensing Board hereby gives notice:
Notice of the issuance of an Order regarding the Petition for Variance and Waiver filed by Robert S. Boehm, on April 22, 2014. The Notice of Petition for Variance and Waiver was published in Volume 40, No. 86, of the May 2, 2014, Florida Administrative Register. The Board considered the Petition at a duly-noticed public meeting held on May 15-16, 2014, in Celebration, Florida. The Petitioner is seeking a permanent waiver or variance of Rule 61G6-6.017, F.A.C., which requires for the purpose of certification, a passing examination score on any part of the examination shall be valid only for a period of two (2) years from the date of the examination.
The Board’s Order, filed on June 20, 2014, grants the Petition for Wavier and Variance of Rule 61G6-6.017, Florida Administrative Code. The Board found that the petition was in substantial compliance with the provision of Section 120.542, Florida Statutes, and Chapter 28-104, Florida Administrative Code. The Petitioner meets the purpose of the underlying statute and that application of the rule at issue to Petitioner would violate principles of fairness. The variance and waiver is granted for review of this licensure application only. Based on granting of the petition for variance and waiver, the application of Robert S. Boehm, for certified electrical contractor, is granted.
