FLORIDA CATEGORICAL EXCLUSION NOTICE (FCEN)

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has determined that the City of Maitland’s projects involving the installation of approximately 13,450 linear feet of water distribution pipe in two phases, and approximately 6,000 linear feet of sewer force main is not expected to generate controversy over potential environmental effects. The estimated cost for the water distribution project is $9.5 million, and for the sewer main project is $2.6 million. The projects may qualify for a Drinking Water and Clean Water SRF loan composed of federal and state funds. DEP will consider public comments about the environmental impacts of the proposed projects that are postmarked or delivered at the address below within 30 days of this notice.
