The Board of Massage Therapy hereby gives notice of the issuance of an Order regarding the Petition for Variance or Waiver, filed on May 19, 2017, by Stephanie Tegler. The Notice of Petition for Waiver or Variance was published in Vol. 43, No. 100, of the May 23, 2017 Florida Administrative Register. Petitioner sought a variance or waiver of 64B7-28.009, F.A.C., regarding the continuing education requirements for renewal of her Florida massage license. The Board considered the instant Petition at a duly-noticed public meeting held on June 7, 2017, by telephone conference call.

The Board’s Order, filed on June 20, 2017, granted the petition and found that it was in substantial compliance with the provisions of Section 120.542, F.S., and Chapter 28-104, F.A.C. The applicant demonstrated a substantial hardship, and the Board determined that the purpose of the underlying statute would be met if the petition were granted.
