The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Florida Forest Service (FFS) and the John M. Bethea State Forest (JMBSF) Management Plan Advisory Group announce two public meetings and a public hearing to which all persons are invited.

GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: To allow the JMBSF Management Plan Advisory Group to prepare for a public hearing later in the evening which will provide recommendations to the FFS to help in preparation of a management plan for the JMBSF.

 

DATE AND TIME, PUBLIC HEARING: Tuesday, July 28, 2015, 6:30 p.m.

PLACE: Baker County IFAS Extension, 1025 West Macclenny Avenue, Macclenny, Florida 32063

GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: To solicit comments from the public on the management of the JMBSF. Comments may be presented orally or in writing at the hearing. Written comments may also be submitted to the FFS’s JMBSF at 11656 State Road 2, Sanderson, Florida 32087, to the attention of Andy Lamborn, Forest Supervisor, and should be mailed so as to arrive at the office by the date of the public hearing.

GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: To allow the JMBSF Management Plan Advisory Group to review comments from the public hearing of July 27, 2015 and provide recommendations to the FFS to help in preparation of a management plan for the JMBSF.
