    State Plan Amendment

    The Agency for Health Care Administration is requesting an amendment to the Title XIX Medicaid State Plan as a result of recent changes in the Florida law. House Bill 5101, signed into law by the Governor of Florida, clarifies that lawfully residing children up to age 19 years may receive Medicaid as provided under section 214 of the Children’s Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act of 2009.

    This amendment to the State Plan will have a federal fiscal impact with an expected increase of $6,014,433 in federal funds for federal fiscal year (FFY) 2015-16 and $18,043,300 in federal funds for FFY 2016-17. The effective date for this amendment will be July 1, 2016.
