The Florida Housing Finance Corporation announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Housing Finance Agency Innovation Fund for the Hardest-Hit Housing Markets (HFA Hardest-Hit Fund) was announced by Treasury on February 19, 2010 as a means to provide meaningful financial support for families in the nations hardest-hit housing markets. Florida is slated to receive $418 million as one of five states that will share in $1.5 billion in funding through this program. States proposals were due to Treasury by April 16, 2010. Treasury has reviewed the proposals to ensure that each meets established program guidelines. Treasury anticipates approving the proposals by mid-June, 2010.
The purpose of this meeting is to solicit comments from the general public, local governments, community stakeholders, agencies and other interested parties on the proposed Request for Qualifications for Housing Counseling Agencies for the Implementation of the HFA Hardest Hit Fund Mortgage Intervention Strategy.
A copy of the agenda and a draft of the Request for Qualifications will be posted on Florida Housings website: www.floridahousing.org, by the close of business on Tuesday, June 8, 2010.
