    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that April 29, 2013, the Electrical Contractors’ Licensing Board has received the petition for declaratory statement from Donald M. Smith. The petition seeks the agency's opinion as to the applicability of Section 489.503 (14)(a), F.S., as it applies to the petitioner.
    The petition seeks the Board’s interpretation of Section 489.503 (14)(a), F.S., as to whether there is a requirement to hold an electrical license to perform the installation of coax used in radio distribution system for the purpose of transmitting voice communication. Petitioner also requests clarification as it relates to petitioner being exempt from being required to be licensed to perform installation of coax as part of a radio distribution system.
