NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Board of Psychology has issued an order disposing of the petition for declaratory statement filed by Dalea Alawar on January 09, 2013. The following is a summary of the agency's disposition of the petition:
The Notice of Petition for Declaratory Statement was published in Volume 39, No. 31, of the February 14, 2013, Florida Administrative Register. The Board considered the Petition at a duly-noticed public meeting held on March 22, 2013. The Petitioner requested the Board’s interpretation of Section 490.005(4)(c), Florida Statues, in regards to the requirement that an licensee have at least 2 years or 4,000 hours of experience in association with or under the supervision of a licensed psychologist meeting the academic and experience requirements of this chapter or the equivalent as determined by the Board. The Board’s Order, filed on March 28, 2013 declines to issue a declaratory statement. The Board’s opinion is that Section 490.005(1), Florida Statutes, is not ambiguous, and declines to clarify the statute.
