    The South Bay Community Development District announces a hearing to which all persons are invited.

    DATE AND TIME: Friday, June 12, 2020, during the New Business portion of the agenda during the public meeting of the Board of Supervisors beginning at 1:00 p.m.

    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: In accordance with Chapters 120 and 190, Florida Statutes, and the District’s Rules of Procedure, the public hearing will consider modification of an existing emergency rule to close the District’s public beach and adjacent parking lots. The purpose of the existing emergency rule is to prohibit pedestrians from walking upon or accessing the public beach and south parking lot within the District to protect the public health, safety, and welfare. The status of the rule will be discussed and the rule may be modified.

    Specific legal authority for the rule amendments and the provisions of the Florida Statutes being implemented includes Chapters 120 and 190, Florida Statutes, generally, and Section 190.011 and subsection 120.54(4), Florida Statutes, Rule 1.3(3), SBCDD Rules of Procedure, and Executive Order #20-69, specifically.

    Any person who wishes to provide the District with a proposal for a lower cost regulatory alternative as provide by Section 120.541, Florida Statues, must do so in writing within twenty-one (21) days after publication of this notice.
