Notice is hereby given that the Board of Medicine has received a Petition for Declaratory Statement filed on behalf of Jose E. Garcia, M.D., on June 3, 2020. Petitioner seeks a declaration from the Board that Section 456.47, Florida Statutes does not prohibit him or his licensed providers from utilizing telehealth technology to direct EMTs under Section 458.348, Florida Statutes in administering medications to patients during the telehealth visit. The Board will consider this petition at its meeting currently scheduled for August 7, 2020. Except for good cause shown, motions for leave to intervene must be filed within 21 days after publication of this notice.
