    The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District One, is hosting a public hearing as part of the Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study to widen about one mile of roadway on Collier Boulevard (SR 951) from south of Manatee Road to north of Tower Road in Collier County.

    DATE AND TIME: Thursday, June 15, 2017, 5:00 p.m., open house; 6:00 p.m., formal hearing

    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: This hearing offers people the opportunity to express their views about the location, conceptual design, and social, economic, and environmental effects of widening SR 951 to six lanes within the study limits. Financial Project ID 435111-1-22-01.

    Draft reports and project plans are available for public review through June 26, 2017, during regular business hours at Collier County Government Center, 3299 Tamiami Trail East, Suite 102, Naples, FL 34112-5746, and South Regional Library, 8065 Lely Cultural Parkway, Naples, FL 34113.

    FDOT sent notices of the public hearing to property owners located within 300 feet from either side of SR 951 within the study limits. Encroachments on wetlands and floodplains have been identified and may be given special consideration under Executive Orders 11990 and 11988, Protection of Wetlands and Floodplain Management, respectively.
