The Department of Environmental Protection hereby gives notice:

that on May 25, 2018, the Department issued an Order granting petition for variance from Petitioner, City of St. Petersburg. The Petition was received on March 10, 2018. Notice of receipt was published in the Florida Administrative Register on April 10, 2018. The petition requested a variance from paragraph 62-610.469(7)(g), F.A.C. and paragraph 62-610.668(1)(c), F.A.C., to allow the return of reclaimed water to the tail end of the Southwest Water Reclamation Facility’s reclaimed water distribution system after the reclaimed water has been delivered to the once through, non-contact, cooling system of Eckerd College. No public comment was received. The Order, file number FLA012881-006-DWF/VO; OGC No. 17-0188, granted the Petition to paragraph 62-610.469(7)(g), F.A.C. and paragraph 62-610.668(1)(c), F.A.C., based on the forgoing reasons, the Petitioner has demonstrated that there are no practicable means know or available for the adequate control of the pollution involved and because the Petitioner demonstrated that a strict application of the rule would result in substantial hardship to the Petitioner.
