NOTICE OF CHANGE
Notice is hereby given that the following changes have been made to the proposed rule in accordance with subparagraph 120.54(3)(d)1., F.S., published in Vol. 47 No. 95, May 17, 2021 issue of the Florida Administrative Register.
The changes are in response to written comments submitted by the staff of the Joint Administrative Procedures Committee and discussion and subsequent vote by the board at a public meeting held June 9, 2021. The changes are as follows:
61G15-31.006 Design of Structural Systems Utilizing Open Web Steel Joists and Joist Girders
(1) The Engineer of Record shall indicate on the Structural Engineering Documents the steel joist and joist girder designations as required in Section 2207 of the Florida Building Code, Building, which is incorporated by reference in through Rule 61G15-18.011(6), F.A.C., and shall indicate the appropriate standards for joist and joist girder design, layout, end supports, anchorage, bridging requirements, etc., including connections to walls. These documents shall indicate special requirements for concentrated loads, non-uniform loads, openings, extended ends, and resistance to uplift loads.
