NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Office of Financial Regulation has received the petition for declaratory statement from Sunshine Financial Services, LLC, on July 8, 2016. The petition seeks the agency’s opinion as to the applicability of Chapter 560, Florida Statutes, as it applies to the petitioner.

The petition seeks a declaratory statement from the Office on whether Petitioner’s proposed business model (of offering funds to Florida clients to assist family members in foreign countries) falls within the Florida Money Transmitter Statute, Chapter 560, Florida Statutes and requesting guidance was to what type of license is required to perform the proposed business activities.
