    The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

    DATE AND TIME: Thursday, July 20 2017, 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., Public Information Meeting (open house); 6:30 p.m., Formal Access Management Public Hearing Presentation; 7:00 p.m., Formal Project Development & Environment (PD&E) Study Public Hearing Presentation

    PLACE: Shula’s Hotel and Golf Club, 6842 Main Street, Miami Lakes, FL 33014. In the event that the meeting/hearings cannot be held on July 20, 2017 due to severe weather or other unforeseen conditions, they will be held on the alternate date of August 31, 2017 at the same time and location.

    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Public Information Meeting/Hearings are being held to give interested persons an opportunity to express their views concerning the location, conceptual design, and social, economic, and environmental effects of the proposed improvements to Florida’s Turnpike from SR 836 to I-75 (Financial Project ID Numbers 435543-1 and 435542-1) in Miami-Dade County. The Public Information Meeting will be immediately followed by two Public Hearings. The Public Information Meeting (open house) will be followed by the Access Management Public Hearing for the proposed improvements at the Florida’s Turnpike and NW 41st Street interchange (FPID Number 435543-1), and the PD&E Study Public Hearing for the proposed new interchange at Florida’s Turnpike and NW 170th Street. Each Public Hearing will begin with a formal presentation followed by a public comment period.
