    The Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission announces a workshop to which all persons are invited.

    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Commission will present Draft Rules for native Florida Mammals. These rules will cover species like the Southern Fox Squirrel, the Eastern Chipmunk, the Homosassa Shrew, Florida mice, Mink, Bats, Southeastern Flying Squirrels, and Southeastern Pocket Gophers. These rules will reiterate how take is defined for mammals covered under 68A-1.004, F.A.C. and help to define that forms of take will be allowed and what forms of take may need a permit as defined in 68A-4.001, F.A.C. The meeting will provide the public an opportunity to provide feedback and offer suggestions on the proposed rule. Comments can also be sent after the meeting to Imperiled@myfwc.com.
