    11B-35.002: Basic Recruit Training Programs for Law Enforcement, Correctional, and Correctional Probation

    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on June 26, 2012, the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission, received a petition for a temporary waiver of subsection 11B-35.002(2), F.A.C., from Vincent Krestalude. The petition is entitled “Petition for Emergency Waiver of subsection 11B-35.002(2), F.A.C”. The rule requires candidates to become employed within four years of beginning a basic recruit training course. The Petitioner wishes to add six months to his four years. The Petitioner began basic recruit training in April of 2008. The Petitioner's four years to become employed, therefore, expired in April of 2012. The Petitioner asserts that he has applied for a position as a law enforcement officer with an agency and wishes to have an additional six months to become employed.
