The Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Hotels and Restaurants, Bureau of Elevator Safety hereby gives notice:

On July 11, 2016, the Department received a request withdrawing the Petition for variance from Seminole Electric Co., filed May 2, 2016, and advertised on May 5, 2016, in Vol. 42, No. 88, of the Florida Administrative Register. The Petition for variance requested a variance from Rule 4.1.16, ASME A17.1, 2010 edition, as adopted by paragraph 61C-5.001(1)(a), Florida Administrative Code, that requires upgrading the elevators for firefighters’ emergency operations. The Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Hotels and Restaurants, Bureau of Elevator Safety is taking no further action on the petition (VW2016-107).
