Construction Industry Licensing Board

The Construction Industry Licensing Board hereby gives notice: of the issuance of an Order regarding the Petition for Variance or Waiver, filed on April 18, 2013, by Christopher Felder. The Notice of Petition for Waiver or Variance was published in Vol. 39, No. 106, of the May 31, 2013, Florida Administrative Register. Petitioner asked to be excepted from the four (4) year period a passing grade is valid for purposes of certification. The Board considered the instant Petition at a duly-noticed public meeting held on June 14, 2013, in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

The Board’s Order, filed on July 3, 2013, denied the petition finding that Petitioner does not cite which rule he is asking the Board to waive and does not demonstrate how the underlying statute will be satisfied. Additionally, the Petitioner does not demonstrate how the rule creates a substantial hardship or how it violates the principles of fairness.
