    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: Federal regulations related to the Department of Health and Human Services funding requests require states, such as Florida, that are applying for Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program funding to prepare a State Plan as part of the application process. Another part of this process is providing the public an opportunity to review and comment on the contents of the State Plan.

    The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity is holding a public hearing on Wednesday, August 14, 2019, to receive comments regarding the State of Florida’s Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) State Plan.
