NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Florida Building Commission has received the petition for declaratory statement from the American Society of Interior Designers’ and Lucille McKey. The petition seeks the agency’s opinion as to the applicability of Sections 107.1 & 202, Florida Building Code 5th Edition (2014), Building as it applies to the petitioner.

Petitioner seeks clarifications as to whether registered interior designers are included in the definition of “registered design professionals” and may sign & seal interior design plans for building permits for interior construction.
