    Electrical Contractors' Licensing Board

The Electrical Contractors’ Licensing Board hereby gives notice: that on June 11, 2019, an Order was filed on the Petition for Variance or Wavier. The Petition was filed by David Gilson, on March 7, 2019, seeking a variance or waiver of Rule 61G6-5.003 and 61G6-7.001, Florida Administrative Code, regarding requirements for certification by endorsement. The Notice of Petition for Variance of Wavier was published in Vol. 45, No. 53, on March 18, 2019, in the Florida Administrative Register.

The Board, at its meeting held on May 16-17, 2019, voted to deny in part and grant in part the Petition for Variance or Wavier finding that Petitioner failed to show a substantial hardship, however; the Board did find that application of the rule would violate the principle of fairness; and that the purpose of the underlying statute has been met.
