The Office of Insurance Regulation announces a hearing to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME: Wednesday, July 30, 2008, 9:00 a.m.

GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: Florida Farm Bureau Casualty Insurance Company and Florida Farm Bureau General Insurance Company have requested a 28.4% overall increase for new and renewal homeowners’ insurance policies, effective December 1, 2008. The rate increases are not uniform and some areas are subject to higher rate increases.

Florida law allows the Office of Insurance Regulation to hold a public hearing for any purpose within the scope of the Insurance Code deemed to be necessary. Input from interested parties will be received at this public hearing. If you are unable to attend this public hearing, please forward your comments to [e-mail].
