    The Florida Department of Transportation, District 2 announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

    DATE AND TIME: July 26, 2018, 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: This meeting is being held to afford interested persons the opportunity to express their views concerning the location, conceptual design, social, economic and environmental effects of Financial Project ID: 207850-2, otherwise known as SR 26 (West Newberry Road) from the Gilchrist County line to County Road 26A in Newberry, Florida.

    The FDOT is conducting a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study to evaluate alternatives to enhance safety and provide additional capacity to meet existing and future traffic needs on SR-26. FDOT encourages you to get involved throughout the study by providing comments, concerns, questions and/or suggestions to the Study Team.

    Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability or family status.

    The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by the FDOT pursuant to § 23 U.S.C. Section 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 14, 2016, and executed by the Federal Highway Administration and FDOT.
