General Aviation Facilities Improvement and Rehab Program
Scorpio Corporation is accepting bids for construction on the Gainesville Regional Airport General Aviation Facilities Improvement and Rehab Program in Gainesville, FL. This project includes improvements to over (9) total facilities at the Airport. These facilities are primarily Pre-Engineered Metal Building structures. Outlined reference scopes are available upon request.
Scopes include the following: Selective Demolition, Concrete, Masonry, Insulation, Roofing, Doors/Frames/Hardware, Windows, Storefront and Glazing, Drywall & Drywall Finishes, Painting, Signage, PEMB Steel and Panels, Electrical, Plumbing, minor Site-work improvements and Modular Office Replacement. Bidding closes Tuesday, August 13, 2:00 p.m. Bids are to be delivered or mailed as sealed hard copies to the Gainesville Regional Airport 3880 NE 39th Avenue, Suite A Gainesville, FL 32609 for public opening. Bids should be clearly labeled “General Aviation Facilities Improvement and Rehab Program”. Bids received after 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 13th will not be considered.
Scorpio utilizes the Construction Project Management Software, “Procore.” Procore helps to streamline the bidding process by allowing interested bidders to download relevant bidding documents. In this system, all electronic correspondence is tracked and archived, and bidders are provided with the most up to date information available for the project. We feel that this tool will simplify the bidding process for your project team by cutting down on the amount of filing and paperwork that typically accompanies bid management.

The Pre-Bid RFI Deadline is fixed for Tuesday, July 31st. This project will commence construction immediately after permit procurement- estimated start date is September 2019.We look forward to the opportunity to work with you.
