NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Construction Industry Licensing Board has issued an order disposing of the petition for declaratory statement filed by John Fitch on February 24, 2015. The following is a summary of the agency’s disposition of the petition:

The Notice of Petition for Declaratory Statement was published in Volume 41, No. 44, of the March 5, 2015, Florida Administrative Register. The petition seeks a declaratory statement from the Board as to whether a general contractor can apply a non-hot tar system as a roofing material on new construction built by the general contractor who is not licensed as a roofer. The Board’s Order, filed on June 10, 2015, declines to issue a declaratory statement in this matter because the petition is legally insufficient, pursuant to Rule 28-105.002, Florida Administrative Code.
