NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Cosmetology has issued an order disposing of the petition for declaratory statement filed by Darlene Lisk on July 21, 2015. The following is a summary of the agency’s disposition of the petition:
The Notice of Petition for Declaratory Statement was published in Volume 41, No. 101, of the May 26, 2015, Florida Administrative Register. The petitioner seeks a declaratory statement regarding whether, pursuant to Sections 477.013(3) and (4), F.S., and Rule 61G5-18.00015, F.A.C., this cosmetology salon owner may allow cosmetologists to use safety guarded blades to remove hair from the face. The Board’s Order, filed on July 2, 2015, concluded that the Petitioner, as a salon owner, in her salon, and confined to the particular circumstances presented, can allow cosmetologists to use safety guarded blades to remove hair from the face.
