NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on July 20, 2020, the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Hotels and Restaurants, Bureau of Elevator Safety, received a petition for University of Florida d/b/a Broward Hall UF at 680 Broward Drive, Gainesville, FL. Petitioner seeks an emergency variance of the requirements of Rule 2.2.2.6, ASME A17.1, 2013 edition, as adopted by 61C-5.001, Florida Administrative Code that requires a sump pump, where provided, be covered which poses a significant hardship which could affect the long term integrity of the pit. Any interested person may file comments within 5 days of the publication of this notice with Division of Hotels and Restaurants, Bureau of Elevator Safety, 2601 Blair Stone Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32399-1013 (VW2020-092).
