The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Florida Forest Service (FFS) and the Withlacoochee State Forest (WSF) Management Plan Advisory Group announce two public meetings and a public hearing to which all persons are invited.

PLACE: Withlacoochee Training Center, 24059 Childs Road, Brooksville, Florida 34601

GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: To allow the WSF Management Plan Advisory Group to prepare for a public hearing later in the evening which will provide recommendations to the FFS to help in preparation of a management plan for the Withlacoochee State Forest.

GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: To solicit comments on management of the Withlacoochee State Forest. Comments may be presented orally or in writing at the hearing. Written comments may also be submitted to FFS’s WSF State Forest Office at 15019 Broad Street, Brooksville FL 34601 to the attention of Michael Penn and should be mailed so as to arrive at the office by the date of the public hearing.

PLACE: Withlacoochee Training Center, 24059 Childs Road, Brooksville, Florida 34601

GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: To allow the WSF Management Plan Advisory Group to review comments from the public hearing the previous evening and provide recommendations to the FFS to help in preparation of a management plan for the Withlacoochee State Forest.

Copies of a working draft of the plan and the management prospectus are available before the date of the public hearing by contacting the WSF in writing at 15019 Broad Street, Brooksville, FL 34601; online at http://www.fl-dof.com/calendar/public_notices.html; or contacting Michael Penn at [phone].

Special accommodations for persons with a disabling condition should be requested in writing to the FFS’s Withlacoochee State Forest office at the above listed address at least 48 hours in advance of these proceedings.

You are hereby notified in accordance with Chapter 286.0105, Florida Statutes, should you decide to appeal any decision made as a result of, or take exception to any findings of fact with respect to any matter considered at the hearing and meeting referred to above, you may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made. Such record shall include the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
