Board of Acupuncture

The Board of Acupuncture hereby gives notice of the issuance of an Order regarding the Petition for Variance or Waiver, filed September 17, 2013, by William Palmer. The Notice of Petition for Variance or Waiver was published in Vol. 39, No. 182, of the September 18, 2013, Florida Administrative Register. Petitioner sought a waiver or variance of Rule 64B1-7.0015, F.A.C., The Petitioner sought a waiver of continuing education requirements. The Board considered the instant Petition at a duly-noticed public meeting held on December 13, 2013, by telephone conference call.

The Board’s Order, filed on July 10, 2014, granted the petition on the following grounds:

1. The petition was in substantial compliance with the provisions of Section 120.543, Florida Statutes, and Chapter 28-104, Florida Administrative Code.

2. The Board found that the applicant had met the purpose of the underlying statute.
