61G15-20.001: DefinitionsNOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on July 16, 2008, the Board of Professional Engineers, received a petition for Variance or Waiver filed on July 16, 2008 on behalf of Grable Walls, Richard W. Van Fleet, Jennifer Thomas, Thomas Sweeney III, Derek Sullivan, Jessica Anne Sharpe, Anthony Zimmerman, Robert Zandstra Jr., John Williams, Daniel Schroeder, Windeliz Gohl, Ashley Roth, Stephanie Mooney, Jenna E. Martin, James Maddox and Tricha Louis. Pursuant to Chapter 28-104, F.A.C. and Section 120.542, F.S., Petitioners seek a waiver of the provisions of Rule 61G15-20.001, Florida Administrative Code, which is entitled “Definitions.” Specifically, the Petitioners, on the basis of serving the principles of fairness as explained in the petition, request a waiver of Rule 61G15-20.001, F.A.C., in its requirement that to sit for the Fundamentals of Engineering Examination one must be in the final year of, or have graduated from, a ‘Board approved engineering program.’
