64E-11.003: Food Supplies

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on July 14, 2008, the Department of Health, received a petition for Variance or Waiver from subsection 64E-11.003(2), Florida Administrative Code. This rule states, “Milk and milk products, including fluid milk, other fluid dairy products and manufactured milk products shall meet the standards of quality established for such products by applicable state laws and rules. Only pasteurized milk and milk products shall be used or served. Reconstituted dry milk and dry milk products may be used for cooking, baking, or fortification purposes. Non-dairy creaming, whitening or whipping agents may be reconstituted on the premises.” The petitioner, Steve Lester, Chief, Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Detention, 455 North Broadway Avenue, Bartow, Florida 33830, seeks to serve reconstituted Grade-A dry milk.
