The State Board of Administration announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME: August 6, 2013, 9:00 a.m. (ET) – conclusion of the meeting

PLACE: Cabinet Meeting Room, Lower Level, The Capitol, Tallahassee, Florida

GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Trustees of the State Board of Administration of Florida will be asked for permission to file a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking to amend the following rules: To amend Rule 19-11.002, F.A.C., to indicate what happens when a beneficiary is “per Florida law” as described in Section 121.4501(2), Florida Statutes and that beneficiary fails to contact the FRS Investment Plan and/or cannot be identified. To amend Rule 19-11.012, F.A.C., to detail procedures that are to be followed by Investment Plan members electing to transfer to the Pension Plan, having an available balance after paying all buy-in amounts and desiring to purchase service credit with that remaining balance. The Trustees also will be asked to authorize the filing of these rules for amendment if no member of the public timely requests a rule hearing.
