NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on July 22, 2014, the Construction Industry Licensing Board has received the petition for declaratory statement from the City of Orlando. The petition seeks the agency’s opinion as to the applicability of Sections 489.105(e) and 489.113(3), Florida Statutes, as they apply to the petitioner.
The petitioner seeks a declaratory statement regarding Sections 489.105(e) and 489.113(3), Florida Statutes, regarding the following questions: (1) Is a General and/or Building Contractor's license required to replace structural and/or non-structural metal roof panels on an existing metal building, or would this require a Florida licensed roofing contractor? (2) Is it within his scope to install purlins and a metal roof covering over an existing roof deck? and (3) Can a licensed roofer make any structural repairs to an existing metal deck or purlins. Except for good cause shown, motions for leave to intervene must be filed within 21 days after publication of this notice.
