PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The purpose of this rule development is to update provisions in the rule due to statutory changes, rule changes, and for clarity. Proposed changes include: update of the requirements specified for renewal of the Professional certificate; update of the requirements for retention of certification coverages; update of the general requirements for renewal of a Professional certificate; and, update of the requirements specified for reinstatement of the Professional certificate.

SUBJECT AREA TO BE ADDRESSED: This rule will modify the requirements and implementation of the process for renewal or reinstatement of a Florida Professional Educator’s Certificate.
