    69O-125.003Unfair Discrimination Because of Travel Plans

    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on July 13, 2020, the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (Office), received a petition for a variance from Transamerica Life Insurance Company for a variance from Rule 69O-125.003, Florida Administrative Code. This Rule addresses the consideration of past and future lawful foreign travel in the issuance of certain types of insurance policies, including life insurance policies. Transamerica Life Insurance Company seeks to have the Office issue an order of variance substantially similar to a previously granted variance, issued to this same company, from Rule 69O-125.003, Florida Administrative Code, for two years or such maximum time as the Office will grant, to allow it to consider future lawful travel to Iraq and Afghanistan.

    The Office will accept comments concerning the Petition for 14 days after the date of publication of this notice. To be considered, comments must be received before 5:00 p.m. EST on that date.
