NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Florida Department of Corrections has received the petition for declaratory statement from Charles Cannella, DC# 517448. The petition seeks the agency’s opinion as to the applicability of under 943.13(1)-(10), 943.131, 943.17(1)(a), F.S., as well as 11-B-27, 11B-30, 11-B-35, F.A.C., and Department of Corrections procedure 208.016 “for ‘elements’ of the alleged power and authority of Florida Dept. of Corrections Temporary Employee Associates (T.E.A.’s)” and “Correctional Officer Trainee’s,.” as it applies to the petitioner.

The petition alleges that it seeks a Declaratory Statement as to the statutory authority under 943.13(1)-(10), 943.131, 943.17(1)(a), F.S., as well as 11-B-27, 11B-30, 11-B-35, F.A.C., and Department of Corrections procedure 208.016 “for ‘elements’ of the alleged power and authority of Florida Dept. of Corrections Temporary Employee Associates (T.E.A.’s)” and “Correctional Officer Trainee’s.” Persons whose substantial interests may be affected by a declaratory statement issued in this matter may file a motion to intervene or a petition for administrative hearing within twenty-one (21) days after the publication of this notice.
