NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on July 1, 2019, Pinellas County License Board for Children’s Centers & Family Child Care Homes filed an Order granting the request made by KidsPark Oldsmar for a variance of Section 3.8.4(A) of the Child Care Facility Handbook, which is incorporated by reference in subsection 65C-22.001(6) Florida Administrative Code and made part of the Licensing Regulations Governing Pinellas County Children’s Centers VI.B.4. Section 3.8.4(A) of the Child Care Facility Handbook incorporated in the Licensing Regulations Governing Pinellas County Children’s Centers VI.B.4 requires that during the facility’s license year, fire drills utilizing the approved alarm system must be conducted monthly at various dates and times when children are in care. Subsection 65C-22.001(6), F.A.C., states in pertinent part that child care programs must follow standards found in the “Child Care Facility Handbook”, October 2017, incorporated by reference and adopted in the Licensing Regulations Governing Pinellas County Children’s Centers. The petition was filed with Pinellas County License Board for Children’s Centers & Family Child Care Homes on or about May 30, 2019. The Notice of the Petition for Variance was published on June 3, 2019 in Volume 45 no. 107 of the Florida Administrative Register. The granting of the variance will allow the purpose of the statute to be met while avoiding substantial hardship that would otherwise result.
