    DATE AND TIME: Thursday, July 11, 2019, 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

PLACE: Lauderdale Lakes Library/Educational and Cultural Center, located at 3580 W. Oakland Park Boulevard, Lauderdale Lakes, FL 33311

GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Florida Department of Transportation will host an open house to provide details on the upcoming pedestrian safety enhancement project. The project is on SR7/US 441, from NW 29th Street to north of SR 816/Oakland Park Boulevard, in Broward County, Florida.

This project in the City of Lauderdale Lakes will address safety concerns by constructing a 10-foot shared-use path along the east side of SR 7/US 441 within the project limits. A pedestrian safety barrier will be installed along the existing median to discourage mid-block pedestrian crossings. Improvements will also include a new northbound overhead sign, miscellaneous signage, paving, restriping and curb ramps to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.

Construction begins in July 2019 and is estimated to be completed in Winter 2020. The estimated construction cost is $1.4 million.

During the informal open house, attendees will have the opportunity to review roadway improvements, construction plans and traffic control plans. FDOT staff and consultant staff members will be available to discuss the project and answer questions.
