NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on June 30, 2016, the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Hotels and Restaurants, Bureau of Elevator Safety, received a petition for Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, FL. Petitioner seeks an emergency variance of the requirements of ASME A17.1, Sections 2.4.1.5, 2.15.9.2, 2.4.6.2(c), and 2.10.2.1, as adopted by subsection 61C-5.001(1), Florida Administrative Code, to request the use of a folding car top rail and retractable toe guard for the existing 4-foot-deep pit.
