    PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The purpose and effect of the proposed rule is to reduce the licensure fee and biennial renewal fee for athlete agents.

    SUMMARY: This amendment lowers the licensure fee and the biennial renewal fee for athlete agents.

    SUMMARY OF STATEMENT OF ESTIMATED REGULATORY COSTS AND LEGISLATIVE RATIFICATION:

    The Agency has determined that this will not have an adverse impact on small business or likely increase directly or indirectly regulatory costs in excess of $200,000 in the aggregate within one year after the implementation of the rule. A SERC has not been prepared by the Agency.

    The Agency has determined that the proposed rule is not expected to require legislative ratification based on the statement of estimated regulatory costs or if no SERC is required, the information expressly relied upon and described herein: the economic review conducted by the agency.

    Any person who wishes to provide information regarding a statement of estimated regulatory costs, or provide a proposal for a lower cost regulatory alternative must do so in writing within 21 days of this notice.

    61-24.004 Collection and Payment of Fees.

    (1) The following fee schedule is adopted by the Department of Business and Professional Regulation for the licensure of persons desiring to practice as an athlete agent pursuant to Section 468.453, F.S.

    (a) Application Fee – $500.00.

    (b) Licensure Fee – $375.00 $750.00.

    (c) Unlicensed Activity – $5.00.

    (d) Biennial Renewal Fee – $220.00 $440.00.

    (e) Inactive Fee – $200.00.

    (f) Delinquent Fee – $100.00.

    (g) Reactivation Fee – $50.00.

    (h) Change of Status Fee – $25.00.

    (2) All fees indicated by the schedule above shall be paid in the form of a check, bank draft, or money order made payable to the Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Unless specifically authorized by rule, all fees are non-refundable.
