FLORIDA CATEGORICAL EXCLUSION NOTICE
CITY OF ST. AUGUSTINE
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has determined that the City of St. Augustine’s project consisting of water main replacement along San Marco Avenue and in Fullerwood neighborhood, water main upgrades in the northern area of the City, water main relocation along King Street, 16-inch sub-aqueous transmission main under San Sabastian river, addition of a reverse osmosis skid of one million gallons per day capacity to the existing water treatment plant, and replacement of about 13,000 water meters of various sizes is not expected to generate controversy over potential environmental effects. The total estimated construction cost is $26,230,458. The project may qualify for a Drinking Water State Revolving Fund loan composed of federal and state funds. DEP will consider public comments about the environmental impacts of the proposed project that are postmarked or delivered at the address below within 30 days of this notice.
