The Electrical Contractors' Licensing Board hereby gives notice:

of the issuance of an Order regarding the Petition for Waiver or Variance which was filed on April 16, 2018, by Thomas Anthony Galassi. The Notice of Petition for Variance/Waiver was published in Volume 44, No. 92, of the May 10, 2018, Florida Administrative Register. Petitioner sought a waiver or variance from subsection 61G6-6.017(1), Florida Administrative Code, entitled “Examination Scores,” which requires for the purpose of certification, a passing examination score on any part of the examination shall be valid only for a period of three (3) years from the date of the examination.

The Board considered the instant Petition at a duly-noticed public meeting, held May 17-18, 2018, in Daytona Beach, Florida. The Board’s Order, filed on June 18, 2018, granted the petition, finding Petitioner had demonstrated that application of the rule to his circumstances would violate the principles of fairness and would impose a substantial hardship on him.
