    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Electrical Contractors’ Licensing Board has issued an order disposing of the petition for declaratory statement filed by Joel A. McDaniel, on behalf of RESA Power Service on April 12, 2018. The following is a summary of the agency’s disposition of the petition:

    The Notice of Petition for Declaratory Statement was published in Volume 44, No. 75, of the April 17, 2018, Florida Administrative Register. The Petitioner sought a Declaratory Statement from the Board with regard to Chapter 489, Part II, Florida Statutes and whether the activities listed in the petition fall within the definition of electrical contracting set forth in subsection 489.505(12), F.S. The Electrical Contractors’ Licensing Board considered the Petition at a duly-noticed public meeting held on May 18, 2018, in Daytona Beach, Florida The Board, in the Order filed on June 20, 2018, found that all the listed activities in the Petition fall within the definition of an electrical contractor or unlimited electrical contractor; and therefore, the company would be required to be licensed.
